The St. Basil Clinic is a large and prestigious psychiatric hospital weIl-hidden in the hills over-looking Nice, France that exelusively ca-ters to the rich and famous. Two men are seen assaulting a medical guard and kidnapping a patient, Professor Forester, a world famous physics and bioc hemist ry scientist who was admitted after killing his wife's iover. The Chief Inspector at Nice does not believe the news that Forrester has kilied a g uard and escaped. He suspects a kidnapping by peo-pie who mig ~t~e a fter the secret computer device that Forrester cre-ated before he left IMB and before he lost his memory. At the same time, Detective Tom Lepski is down at the Nice Harbor investigating the murder of an unknown woman's body. He Is soon reluctantly cailed to leave his case and to join the investigation of the Forrester affair. The coid and viiiainous Herman Radnitz operates controi of his em-~ ire from a mansion in Switzerland and is in touch with his men who ave taken Forrester to a mountain hideaway to try to obtain his se-cret device which they believe is worth a fortune to the Russians and the Chinese. Radnitz has biackmailed another professor and is also tracking Forrester's wife as welI as having murdered the woman who Lepski found in the harbor. Detective Lepski is yet to discover that the two cases are Iinked together.
