Near the age of 50, Isabel is left alone. Felipe, her husband, has started a new life with a young girl. He is also going to become father again, his new wife, Vanessa, is pregnant of two babies. Isabel and Felipe have one daughter: Sibila, married, who works as a psychotherapist and has adopted two children. Isabel is a woman with a strong character so she decides to keep living with her usual life: work (she manages a publishing house), her daughter and grandchildren´s visits, and a very calm social life. She´s got an age when you can´t expect more adventures. Or that it´s what she thinks… One night, Isabel is approached by a man. The meeting is totally eccentric. Emiliano, a lovely Mexican in his sixties, confuses Isabel with another woman and rushes over her kissing her passionately. Isabel is furious but, who cares?, the Mexican man is enjoying the situation and also his friends and the mariachis that go with them. Finally, Isabel is having a party night. But that´s not all, to the next morning the wake up is surprising. Emiliano has already gone, the room is a mess and Isabel is tied to the bed feeling happy, satisfied and not guilty at all. The new relationship is set on a very clear basis: sex and pleasure. Isabel doesn´t know what Emiliano does or where he lives. But they meet usually, go for a lunch, go dancing and make love. Isabel´s sensuality is waking up. For her, an ordered and refined European woman, the contact with the joyful and chaotic Mexican ambient is a great discovery. She starts changing the way she behaves, her clothes and the way she feels about life. Her daughter, Sibila, is getting quite worried. One night, Emiliano asks Isabel to drive a drunk friend home. On the way, they find an alcoholic control. To avoid police, Emiliano confesses that his friend is dead and they must keep this as a secret as because they plan to celebrate a Mexican funeral wake. Police let them go but one agent notes the number plate as he thinks something strange was happening there. Next morning Sibila comes to Isabel´s home with her children that, while playing, enter the bedroom and find some love accessories used by Isabel and Emiliano. Definitely worried, Sibila tells everything to his father who, surprised about the sexual fantasies of his ex wife, starts thinking of her again passionately. It´s Isabel 50 birthday and her friends are preparing a surprise. She feels like being alone but that seems to be impossible. The door bell is ringing all the time. First to arrive in is Felipe, with a new love proposal. Second to arrive is Sibila with her children. Later Emiliano comes, with his Mexican troupe, and finally Vanessa, new Felipe´s wife, with their two babies. In a question of minutes, the apartment is completely full of people. They all drink, dance, play and nobody seems to leave. Meanwhile, the police have discovered something. And one unit is rushing, with the sirens on, to Isabel´s home…
