The story brings us in a completely isolated place of New En-gland, far away from the town. The first family living in the district, composed by father Peter, a Protestant priest, his wife Annie and their two sons, Martin and Carole, has just moved in an 18th century house. Peter and Annie find out that the foundations of the house where they live have been built over the place where twenty witches have been burnt to the stake during the CROMWELL VENLENT inquisi-tion. The witches want to take possession of Martin's spirit to offer it to the devils. It is finally Annie who saves Martin. The family runs away while the house is falling down under the flames.
