CRAZY DESIRES OF A MURDERER a film by Peter Rusch
In a castle situated on the outskirts of Paris, which contains a very vaIuable col-Iedion of antiques, lives Baron Castelroche with his two servants The Baron has two children- The oldest, Ileana, a beautiful giri of 22, iikes to sur-round herself with young peopie of the "jetset" which inevitabiy includes one or two "adventurers". The giri, open-minded, carefree and very rich, spends her time trav-eliing from continent to continent, making love with whoever happens to be around. The Baron's other child is 18 year old Leandro, born from the Baron's second mar-riage to a very beautiful Thailandese. The shock of seeing his mother in bed with the gardener of the castie and his vioient reaction of cutting off the gardener's hand with a razor, has left the boy a littie demented, and with the passing of time he has ac-guired a passion for embalming. At the castie there begins certain party-orgies in which no attention is made as to whom one's partner is. During one of these "parties". Helsa mysteriousiy disappears and is found dead and h orribly disfigured. Oniy the Baron knows the identity of the murderer, but on witnessing the murder, suffers a heart attack which renders him dumb. Inspector Stoffen is immediateiy notified of the Incident. On arrivai ai the castle his first impression is that, for one reason or another, everybody is suspect, the major one being Leandro due to his hobby of embaiming and the fact that Helsa was found with her eyes cut out. Three people are convinced of his Innocence. His sister, his father the Baron, and Bertha, the attractive maid who has a strange reiationship with the boy, giving herself to him whenever he wants. li is not clear whether this is out of pity or some morbid desire on Bertha's part. Inspector Stoffen finds a pair of eyes encased in a small casket in Leandro's iab-oratory. But, although everything now points fo Leandro, the Inspector does not be-lieve th at he is capabie of committing the murder. In the castle tension is high and eve ryone waits the murderer's next move. Inspector Stoffe n plays h is Iast card. He Iets il be known that the Baron has recovered his senses and can finaily nome the murderer. Dressed as the Baron, he moves about the castie in the Baron's wheeichair, waiti ng for the murderer to strike, io end all possibility of the Baron taiking. A gloved hand, armed with knife, does not waste time in appearing. Bui the Inspector is ready, and is able to disarm cind uncover the murderer, who turns out lo be...
