This story is set inside a cloister and tells about the sad and tragic love relationship between a young nun and her lover. It is based on a famous novel by Stendhal and concentrates on the unhappy lives of such women forced to enter nunneries and where no vocation was actually calling for the monastic life. Once again, famous director W. Borowczyk focuses on ambiguity and eroticism.
